The people of Himachal have always happy to go vibes. They have always shown pleasure to all the tourist whether they go for the trek or to see the culture they have. Himachal is said the land DEVI-DEVTA. The land god and godess resides where they have there shrines. Where the most no. of rivers starts there water flow. The place which is full of culture heritage and art.

Thanks to it’s high terrains and its challenging reach, not much glitter have been attracted to the Pahadis, from the western culture. They have kept them to the roots. They have always proudly shown Vibrant colors in there costume.

Rajputanis there wear long kurtis until the toe. And Brahmins there wore cholis which are basically long shirts and Skirts.

There Attire for marriages or weddings are extremely intricate. And the draft of that wedding dress is usually a Salwaar Kameez or Ghagra choli. Following that intricacy. There Juttis is designed by grass or from animal skin to keep there feet warm in that cold region.
Jewellery worn by both RAJPUT and BRAHMIN women are same. Starting from Head they have Chakk this wore on the top of the head as it Carries the pride of the women in that state.
Chirri (maangtikka) the spot where this Chirri is wore is called AGYACHAKRA.
Next is JHUMKA how can one not know about JHUMKAS. This are the earnings which bring elegance to the pahadi women Attire which is famous all over the state.
TOKE is band which is wore around the wrist of the women’s in HIMACHAL. Which is never or rarely removed. As it the symbol of married women.
PARI is an anklet which are very thick then the regular Anklets which we wear in this days there the people say this PARI is the necklace of the foot.
In the beautiful state of HIMACHAL there are many tribals who have traditional attire which is different from the other residents of state. There Popular items are Dohri, Stall and Busheri Topi. Women there also wear bulky Ornaments on the some occasions of gatherings religious festivals and weddings.
Rajput Men wear tight Churidar Pyjamas with kurta and long silk overcoat over it. The overcoats are designed with yak leather and gold threads which help them keep warm. They wear a turban on their heads which are colour-dyed and starch-stiffened. Turbans along with moustaches are considered as a symbol of pride and honour among the Rajputs. Brahmin Men can be seen wearing dhoti and kurta along with a waistcoat or an overcoat and sometimes a turban. Priests mostly wear white clothes and a small soft towel-like cloth on their shoulders
The best souvenir to take home when you visit Himachal are the caps of KULLU. The traditional but stylish and trendy headwear is worn by most people in Himachal and is sold to many tourists as well. It is circular in shape with some beautiful design facing the front weaved in wool or cotton and sometimes velvet. They get the name from the source Kullu.
